Aesthetic Courses for Nurses
Why Nurses Should Train in Botox and Dermal Filler
Are you a Registered Nurse or Midwife considering a training course in Botox, dermal fillers or other medical aesthetic techniques? Registered Nurses currently account for over 50% of the delegates we see on our Cosmetic Courses Botox and Dermal Filler Training Programmes due to the high degree of transferable skills which can be utilised moving from nursing to medical aesthetics industry. Why has aesthetic training for nurses become so popular?
What are the benefits of Botox Training for Nurses
Over the past 15 years of medical aesthetic training we have found that nurses are very well suited to this field because they have good transferable skills. It just takes an artistic eye and a desire to branch out from mainstream nursing to become successful in Botox treatments.
From talking to our past delegates they tell us the major benefits of moving into the aesthetics industry are as follows:
- Hour-for-hour as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner (either self-employed or working for a clinic), you can expect to earn far more than you would as a Bank Nurse. Aesthetic treatments are becoming increasingly popular with high demand across the country. An average aesthetic appointment for one client can bring in around £400.
- Lots of nurses and midwives feel that, whereas medical professionals were once very well paid in the NHS, recent changes to the pension system will erode this therefore learning a new trade like Botox or dermal fillers can help towards your pension fund.
- With the current changes to employment conditions for NHS nurses, Cosmetic Courses receive a lot of applications from nurses who have had enough of the NHS red tape. They feel that their patient contact time is being diminished because they have too many targets, budgets and deadlines to meet, thus seeking out a new career path. They miss that patient contact and the element of planning treatments and seeing the outcomes. Aesthetics is an incredibly rewarding industry, you can change patients lives with the skills you develop on our courses from the slight tweakment adding more volume to lips or the profile changing non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment.
- Medical aesthetics is a very nice area to work in because you have much more control over all these areas, plus the products you use and the techniques you choose for administering them to patients.
- The work life balance is also an important benefit for nurses and midwives looking to start their own career within aesthetics. By becoming your own boss you are able to decide your hours and balance your life to not only achieve a work life balance but also job satisfaction. Those that have chosen aesthetics as a career path have commented that they feel happier within their profession know because they are back in control of their own life.
